With another year coming to an end, its that time again where you sit back and think about the year past. You ponder all the things that have happened, and in some cases didn't happen. Its when many find a new spark of hope that wasn't there before. The hope next year will be better then the last. Its a chance to start new and refreshed, ready to face all that is to come. But its also a time to grateful that you have made it through another year whether that year brought you pain or joy, it is truly a celebration. Along with celebrating the things in your life, you also think of the lives of others, both near and far. Its a time to be grateful that many gave their lives to help you live yours. To both mourn and thank them by not wasting the chance they gave you. You also mourn the ones you have lost but smile at every memory you have shared with them. You feel closer to the ones that may not be able to sit right next to you because for one night, you both are thinking of the same things and each other. To feel more grateful for the big and small things that make up your life. But overall, a new year is a new chance to be grateful for everything and everyone in your life. A chance to change your ways or start a new for this is a new chance, a new hope. It is a New Year. And because of this, I wanted to reflect on my past year and also ask that you reading this do the same. So today I am doing the New Year Tag. So without further ado, lets begin!!
1) What was the single best thing that happened this past year?
I am not just saying this, but starting my blog is the best thing that has happened this past year. I say this because so many incredible things have come from starting this blog including finding out new things about me, discovering new interests, new goals and dreams, and above all else, new friends.

2) What was the single most challenging thing that happened?
The most challenging thing to happen this past year was losing my grandmother all while my other grandmother was very sick. It was a very emotional time for my entire family and it was one of the hardest things I personally have ever had to go through. But I had my incredible family and friends right by my side helping me get through it.

3) What was an unexpected joy this past year?
An unexpected joy that has come from the past year is the excitement of finally starting to form an idea as to what I want to do with my future. Even though it seems scary and hard at times, I cant wait to try and accomplish my dreams. I feel pretty sure on what my plan is, or my hopes of a plan is, for my future and I know I can do it.

4. What was an unexpected obstacle?
An unexpected obstacle was having to get over not being friends with my best friend anymore. I wont go into details but I had been friends with the incredible young lady for may years, and she was my first best friend, ever. But over time, we both just started going down different paths and they don't really seem to be crossing anymore. Even though it was hard, and still is at times, I know that everything happens for a reason. I just need to be happy and grateful years we did have together and wish her the best of luck.

5. Pick three words to describe 2014.
Manifold of feelings
6. Pick three words a family member would use to describe your 2014 year (don’t ask them; guess based on how you think your spouse sees you).
A constant meltdown. I know my family like the back of my hand and I know that this is what they were thinking all year long.

7. Pick three words a family member would use to describe their 2014 year (again, without asking).
Test of strength. Mostly because I was a pain in the behind, or so I am told.

8. What were the best books you read this year?
I will be doing a blog post next weekend on my top books, movies, songs, and beauty items of the 2014 year. So watch out for that if you are interested!!

9. With whom did you have the most valuable relationship with?
Now this question could leave some people offended, but I will still be truthful. I am going to say my Mom for many reasons. My mom and I are practically twins, I am just the smarter one lol. No but seriously, my Mom and I have bonded a lot over this last year. With everything that my family and I have had to go through, both good and bad, we would lean on each other for not just support but for love. And over time, despite some pretty good arguments, we always came back together. Especially when we needed to the most. If your reading this Mom, I know I can be challenging, but your my rock and I thank you for such love, support, and strength you have given and shown me this past year. I love you!!
( I almost cried writing this lol)

10. What was your biggest personal change from January to December of this past year?
I started to find small things that I loved about myself. I use to never love anything about myself, as bad as that is to say. But this past year I tried harder to find something, anything, that I loved about myself and I did. Plus, I started to learn to work harder as well and not find so many excuses to why I cant do something.

11. In what way(s) did you grow emotionally?
I really believe that I grew stronger overall as a person just because of hard times that have occurred over the past year. I know that I am still growing as an individual, but I want to make sure that as I do, that growing stronger in the number one thing that continues to change about me.

12. In what way(s) did you grow spiritually?
Without going into much detail, I started to see little moments and actions that made me think that there is something out there bigger then us. I don't know what that thing is yet, but I made a first step towards figuring that out.

13. In what way(s) did you grow physically?
I wish I could say I got taller. That wish still hasn't come true yet. But physically, I think I grew a little tougher when it came to pain. As weird as it sounds, I have a much higher pain level then I did at the beginning of the year. And this is all thanks to me becoming more and more clumsy with time. That and some new scars to add to my collection.

14. In what way(s) did you grow in your relationships with others?
I started to see how important my relationships are with others. Especially when you need each other to get through hard times. But also to help celebrate and enjoy the good times as well. I also learned that you don't always get out what you put into a relationship.

15. What was the most enjoyable part of your work (both professionally and at home)?
The most enjoyable part of my work, or school, is that feeling you get when you work hard or study hard and in return are repaid with a good grade or a nice compliment from a teacher. Its nice to know your hard work did not go unnoticed sometimes.

16. What was the most challenging part of your work (both professionally and at home)?
The most challenging part is when you feel like you cant possibly do anymore or put anymore energy into your work but then you see that you are not even close to being done. It becomes overwhelming at times. And especially when you are in school, one little mistake or bad test grade can ruin all your hard work. That adds a lot of unneeded pressure.

17. What was your single biggest time waster in your life this past year?
I tried a lot of different projects that I wanted to do for this blog that just never worked out or would never work out in the end. A lot of time and energy would go into these projects just to end up never becoming anything at all. But it was also a learning process for me as well.

18. What was the best way you used your time this past year?
This very blog was the best way to spend my time. I have enjoyed every second of making and creating content, interacting with you guys, and trying new things. It has been one of the best ideas I have ever gone through with.
19. What was biggest thing you learned this past year?
Without going on and on, I would sum it up with a few words, it can get harder but it can also get better all in the blink of an eye. Or maybe in other words, life can change with no notice. This has been the general theme of my life this past year.

20. Create a phrase or statement that describes 2014 for you.
Every marvelous rise can come with a painful fall but every painful fall is a chance to have a marvelous rise. Does that even make sense??? I don't know, I am just feeling those words right now, even if they are stupid.
Wow, that got very emotional. But I really enjoyed this tag. It is probably one of my favorite ones so far. But we are not quite done yet. I would like to tag a few wonderful bloggers:
